My Coaching Journey & How i Can Help You Achieve Your Goals
I am a former varsity/professional Hockey Athlete. I played hockey until the age of 28. Throughout this time I played and trained at a high level. I slowly began coaching/training athletes and teammates, designing programs while still playing, and gaining knowledge from Performance Coaches. This made way for a smooth transition to health, wellness, fitness and training as my full time passion.
I see myself as a lifelong student, an educator, performance coach and Life Athlete. From a training and coaching perspective I work on a number of levels - coaching personal clients (I’ve worked with a wide range from Professional Athletes to the Beginner Athlete) to coaching group training, Corporate Fitness gFit at Google Canada, and Educating Coaches through Strive Life Certifications for Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors to become confident coaches and Certified Fitness Professionals.
From a training perspective the foundation of what I do, who I am stems from being an Athlete, training for longevity and Future-Proofing Fitness. Focusing on a bulletproof foundation and strength and conditioning training principles, incorporating tools to be injury free, pain free and progressing. This has directed me down a path to take a number of Specialized Certification courses for Durability, Mobility, Joint Health, Foundation Training and the Art of Breath. Along with being a functional strength and conditioning coach who trains at a high level, my continued education along with my extensive experience has allowed me to transition from Athlete to Life Athlete.
Now i am wanting to share with you, so you too can live and train for Life!
I have been Training for 22+ Years and Coaching for 17+ Years, and the last 7 of which have been as Owner and Founder of Strive Life Athletics / Strive Life Fitness Education.
I am also involved in a number of community initiatives with events, charity work and corporate wellness.
